Celebrate Recovery at Belgrade Alliance is a Christ-centered and Bible-based 12-step recovery program. The purpose is to focus on God’s healing power through fellowship with others by working the 12 steps ad the 8 beatitude principles. Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a safe place to get real about your hurts, habits, and hang-ups. You’re invited to be a part of Celebrate Recovery! No registration needed, simply join us at 6 PM on Thursdays at Belgrade Alliance. We will help you through the rest.
Some Examples of Recovery Issues:
• Codependency & Enabling
• Substance Addiction
• Healing from Pornography
• Eating Disorders
• Depression and/or Loss
• Relationship Issues
• Recovery from Sexual/Emotional/Physical Abuse
We are not limited to these issues only!
The leaders of Celebrate Recovery are men and women who have gone through similar hurts, habits, and hang-ups and have experienced Christ’s healing powers through the 12 steps and 8 recovery principles. As well they have gone through the CR participant guides and have completed CR training. The leaders are not counselors and do not offer any professional advice. If professional advice is required, referrals may be made. Confidentiality is an important value of our Celebrate Recovery group.
What does Celebrate Recovery look like on Thursdays?
6:00 PM – We share a free meal & fellowship together.
6:30 PM – Announcements, celebrations & worship through music.
6:45 PM – Large group meeting.
7:30 PM – Open share, gender-specific, small group meetings.
Large group is a time of worship, testimonies and teaching on the 12 steps and recovery principles. At the conclusion of our large group meeting, we will break up into gender-specific small groups for more in-depth discussions and sharing of similar struggles. Teachings from the large group meeting will be used to initiate sharing. Participants are encouraged to comment or just listen. You are welcome to come and not say anything.
We also spend time each month experiencing life together in social activities. Some of our typical activities include; camping, progressive dinners, holiday parties, community service, and much more!
