What Happens at Awana?
Check-In
Check-in begins 15 minutes before the start of club., downstairs at BAC. Clubbers must be checked in by an authorized caregiver, who will be given a security tag for checkout. Clubbers will earn "check-in" points for attendance and being prepared.
The Gathering
Clubbers gather together for prayer, worship songs and open ceremony. During gathering time, we share an engaging Bible story related to the Scripture we are studying. Often we have guest speakers and exciting object lessons.
Games & Activities
Game time is high energy fun that helps clubbers learn the value of teamwork an d sportsmanship. We play a variety of games for all abilities and interests,. We often add other activities to the mix, such as crafts and service projects.
Team Time
Small group "team time" is devoted to relationship building and digging into the Bible. Clubbers work through their handbooks and memorize Scripture and learn how to apply key truths to their daily lives. Discussion & Q & A.
Mission Time
Each week we spend time learning about past and present missionaries who have shared the Gospel of Christ locally and around the world. Clubbers will learn how they can be on mission at school and in their neighborhood.
Awards
We conclude each club with awards and recognition for completing handbook sections, Scripture memorization, good sportsmanship and competition in games. We share important announcements and send clubbers off with prayer.
